In line with the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence<\/strong>, RNW Media is proud to announce the launch of “It Is Real Violence”<\/strong>, a dedicated online platform<\/a> aimed at addressing the pressing issue of Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

TFGBV\u2014acts of gender-based violence enabled or exacerbated by digital technologies\u2014is an urgent and growing threat in today\u2019s interconnected world. The platform seeks to shed light on the realities of this often-overlooked form of violence, amplifying the voices of those affected and equipping individuals and communities to challenge it.<\/p>\n

Why Focus on TFGBV?<\/h3>\n

As the digital world becomes increasingly central to our lives, it has also become a space where gender-based violence manifests in alarming ways. From online harassment to doxxing, image-based abuse, and cyberstalking, TFGBV disproportionately affects women and marginalized communities, silencing voices and perpetuating inequality.<\/p>\n

The website is designed to be an engaging and empowering resource, offering clear explanations of TFGBV<\/strong>, its impact, and its connection to broader issues of gender inequality. We also include Case studies Stories stimulation<\/strong> from individuals who have faced TFGBV, shedding light on the personal toll and resilience in the face of abuse.
