In March 2025, we were proud to announce the launch of our 2025-2027 strategy<\/span><\/b>, a renewed commitment to strengthening <\/span>public interest media in an increasingly complex digital landscape. This strategy focuses on <\/span>media viability and information integrity<\/span><\/b>, ensuring that public interest media can thrive while <\/span>fostering an inclusive, safe, and reliable digital space<\/span>\u00a0for audiences worldwide.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Addressing a Changing Media Landscape\u00a0<\/h2>\n

As digital platforms become the primary source of news and information for many, public interest media face increasing threats, from disinformation and censorship to declining financial support. RNW Media\u2019s new strategy tackles these challenges by helping media organizations <\/span>enhance digital media professionalism, build sustainable business models, foster strategic media coalition, partnership and movement building, and combat information disorder<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Pillars: Media Viability & Information Integrity<\/h3>\n

RNW Media\u2019s 2025-2027 strategy is built on two core pillars:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Media Viability<\/span><\/b> \u2013 Supporting public interest medi<\/span>a to remain financially sustainable, professional, and resilient thr<\/span>ough digital innovation, strategic partnerships, and business model development.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Information Integrity<\/span><\/b> \u2013 Strengthening the fight against disinformation, <\/span>promoting digital inclusion, supporting local journalism, and safeguarding online safety<\/span> for media makers and their audiences.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Three cross-cutting themes we work toward are ethical technology and AI deployment, and democratic discourse on gender and migration.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Our RNW Media Approach\u00a0<\/h2>\n

    We prioritize two core approaches to realize our strategy. <\/span>Co-creation<\/span><\/b> guides our collaboration with our partners and helps ensure we engage with all stakeholders equally and meaningfully. Our <\/span>data-driven<\/span><\/b> strategies help us integrate insight into all stages of implementation. Both approaches are underpinned by a commitment to inclusivity, accountability, and innovation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    We operationalize those two approaches through The Vine<\/strong>, RNW Media\u2019s global community, with more than 25 independent and public interest digital media, 80 media trainers, and 10,000 RNTC alumni, we facilitate media coalition, partnership, and movement building. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
