{"id":18785,"date":"2025-05-13T08:33:57","date_gmt":"2025-05-13T08:33:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rnw.media\/?post_type=news&#038;p=18785"},"modified":"2025-05-14T12:52:44","modified_gmt":"2025-05-14T12:52:44","slug":"highlighting-impact-the-4th-rhrn-anglophone-africa-regional-forum-2025","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.rnw.media\/index.php\/news\/highlighting-impact-the-4th-rhrn-anglophone-africa-regional-forum-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Highlighting Impact: The 4th RHRN Anglophone Africa Regional Forum 2025 \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">NEWS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sam Moseti (Partnership Manager) and Marah Villanueva (Monitoring and Evaluation Expert) represented RNW Media in Kampala, Uganda for the 4th <em>Right Here Right Now <\/em>(RHRN)<em> <\/em>Anglophone Africa Regional Forum, held from 6th to 8th May 2025.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s forum, themed <em>\u2018Beyond the Hustle: Celebrating Our Impact, Strengthening the Movement\u2019<\/em>, marked a pivotal moment for the RHRN programme as it moves toward its conclusion in 2025. The event celebrated progress made across the region, strengthened national and regional coalitions, and helped shape future strategies for sustaining impact beyond the programme\u2019s end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is RHRN?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, <a href=\"https:\/\/rutgers.international\/programmes\/right-here-right-now\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/rutgers.international\/programmes\/right-here-right-now\/\">RHRN<\/a> supports&nbsp;young people in all their diversity to enjoy their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in societies that promote equity and equality between genders in all aspects of life.&nbsp;Launched in 2021, the programme is a collaboration between <a href=\"https:\/\/rutgers.international\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/rutgers.international\/\">Rutgers<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ampf.org.ma\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.ampf.org.ma\/\">L\u2019Association Marocaine de Planification Familiale (AMPF)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/arrow.org.my\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/arrow.org.my\/\">Arrow<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.choiceforyouth.org\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.choiceforyouth.org\/\">CHOICE<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rhu.or.ug\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rhu.or.ug\/\">Reproductive Health Uganda<\/a> and RNW Media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forum highlights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The gathering brought together country coalitions from Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda, as well as consortium partners including Rutgers, for three days of dialogue and knowledge exchange. Participants shared experiences and best practices in SRHR advocacy across local, regional and global contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RNW Media co-organised the Community of Practice (CoP) Festival, celebrating the work of four RHRN CoPs: Meaningful and Inclusive Youth Participation (MIYP), Digitalisation, Dealing with Opposition, and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). We also shared our vision for sustaining the CoP beyond RHRN through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rnw.media\/index.php\/our-community\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Vine<\/a>, a community network members can stay connected, expand their networks and collaborate with other NGOs and independent media organisations working in the digital SRHR space.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Interested in learning more about how we work?
